Shah Rukh Khan teases OTT release of Alia Bhatt's film, says, 'I’d love to tell you if Darlings is coming to Netflix or not'

Alia Bhatt is all set to don the producer's chair with her upcoming film Darlings, which stars her alongside Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in major roles. The actors announced in the latest quirky video that the dark comedy-drama is set to debut on Netflix, while Shah Rukh Khan also promoted the upcoming film with a fun caption on his social media handle.

The latest video showcases the paparazzi running around all four actors and asking them if Darlings releasing on Netflix, to which Alia, Shefali, Vijay and Roshan don't reply and say something else or ask counter questions in place of the answer. 

Apart from Alia's Eternal Sunshine Productions, Darlings is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.

The King Khan of Bollywood shared the latest quirky video on his Twitter handle and confirmed Darling's Netflix release in the caption. The post reads, "I’d love to tell you if Darlings is coming to Netflix or not, but kisi ne poocha hi nahi. #Darlings #DarlingsOnNetflix (Sic)."

Reportedly, the world famous OTT giant bagged the rights of Darlings for Rs 80 crores to exclusively stream it on the platform.

The black comedy-drama movie completed all its shooting schedule in the first week of September 2021, while the cast and crew of the forthcoming flick celebrated the wrap with a huge gathering. The first time producer also shared the images and videos exclusively from the official Instagram handle of Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Darlings focuses on a mother and daughter relationship residing in a lower middle-class family. Vishal Bhardwaj has composed the music for the Jasmeet K Reen directorial, while veteran lyricist Gulzar penned the lyrics of the songs for the movie.
