Shah Rukh Khan: There were times when we had to call people and ask them to please let us release Pathaan peacefully

Shah Rukh Khan, the superstar who is now enjoying the success of his most recent film, Pathaan, has thanked the public and the media for helping to make the movie a box-office smash. Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and the movie's director Siddharth Anand all went to a Pathaan success party on Monday with Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh thanked everyone for their support of Pathaan and added, "We are all extremely grateful to the audience and media for supporting the film so much in spite of the fact that there might have been things that would have curtailed the happy release of the film."

"There were times when we had to call people and ask them to please let us release our film peacefully. Film watching and filmmaking are experiences of love, and I want to thank all the people who helped us release this film (Pathaan) for the people," the superstar added.

Before Shah Rukh Khan's movie, Pathaan came out, there was an effort to stop people from seeing it, and some offensive words were said about him on social media. All of this didn't affect how well the movie did at the box office, though, because Pathaan got a lot of positive feedback from fans, and SRK's fans around the world were excited to see him back in a movie after four years. The film also entered the Rs 100 crore club on its first day.

After a four-year absence, SRK is back on the big screen with Pathaan. This movie is an action thriller. Salman Khan makes an extended cameo as his Tiger movie avatar, which is also a part of the new shared universe created by YRF.

In the weeks before Pathaan's release, Shah Rukh hardly ever promoted the movie. Through these "Ask SRK" sessions, the actor mainly promoted the movie on social media and still does. The superstar releasing the movie's trailer at the Burj Khalifa was the film's biggest promotion.
