After his performance in Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan won the public vote for Time Magazine's annual TIME100 list. By receiving the most votes from readers for inclusion on TIME's annual list of influential people, SRK has once again demonstrated his star power.

With 1.2 million votes and 4% of the vote, King Khan came out on top. It is not shocking that the megastar won the top slot given that his comeback movie Pathaan made over Rs 1000 at the global box office.

With 3% of the vote, Iranian women's protests against the Islamic dictatorship in their nation came in second place. For the uninitiated, Iran has been the scene of demonstrations since September 16 of last year, when Mahsa Amini, 22, was arrested by Iran's morality police for not wearing the Islamic headscarf hijab properly. Three days after collapsing at a police station, she passed away. The Iranian women also received last year's Readers' Choice Award for Person of the Year and were named 2022 Heroes of the Year by TIME.

Prince Harry of Britain and his wife Meghan Markle placed third and fourth, respectively, in the survey with 1.9 percent of the votes. The Duke of Sussex, 38, gained notoriety in January after the release of his contentious memoir Spare, which exposed private details about the British royal family.

With 1.8 percent of the vote, football star Lionel Messi, who last year in Qatar led Argentina to World Cup victory over France, took fifth place. Michelle Yeoh, who won an Oscar, former tennis player Serena Williams, Mark Zuckerberg, and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva were also polled.

Shah Rukh Khan's return movie Pathaan broke various box office records; he will next be seen in Atlee's Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. In addition, the eagerly anticipated Tiger 3 from Salman Khan will have a cameo from the Bollywood superstar.
