Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most loved stars on a global level. He is even respected as the second richest actor but like many other actors, SRK never once spoke about doing charity work. Of course, he has associated himself with numerous causes and even runs a few NGOs (including Meer Foundation for acid attack survivors) but he does not talk about them often.

Once, a journalist had asked the actor what are his thoughts on doing charity work. To that, SRK had replied, “Muslim hoon. Jo charity karta hoon, kaam karta hoon, personal rakhta hoon.”

Watch the viral video here:

The actor mentioned that he is a Muslim because they have been taught to donate a certain amount of their savings to the needy. This is especially followed during the month of Ramzan in the form of Zakat. Muslims donate a fraction of their wealth every year to the poor communities. Usually, they donate around 2.5% of their wealth to the cause.

Shah Rukh Khan is back in Bollywood with a bang! The actor gave a massive boost to the Box Office collections in the Hindi film industry in 2023 through his film Pathaan. It is the first post-pandemic release which has minted Rs. 400 crores at the Box Office in its lifetime.

Apart from Pathaan, SRK has more surprises for his fans this year. He will be seen in Atlee’s Jawan, co-starring Nayanthara and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki with Taapsee Pannu. It is the first time that the superstar collaborates with both the filmmakers. While Jawan is now expected to release around Janmashtami, Dunki is likely to see a Christmas release.
