The buzz around Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki is massive and it will only get more intense as we inch closer to the release date. Set to hit the big screen this coming Thursday, the anticipation for the third King Khan movie of the year is at its all-time high. The curiosity to know every possible detail about the movie has been at its peak ever since the movie was announced and now as it is about to release, the final leg of details has now given out the runtime and the nature of the movie.

If the latest update is to go by, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and written by with Kanika Dhillon and Abhijat Joshi has been certified as universal aka U/A by the film certification board. The runtime of the movie is longer than the new normal and is 2 hours 41 minutes. The news was shared by trade expert Girish Johar through his X (formerly called Twitter) profile and fans have been reacting to this information in a big way. This means that the Shah Rukh Khan starrer can now welcome audiences of all ages.

This is the third release of the year for Shah Rukh Khan and the second longest among the three. Pathaan was 2 hours 26 minutes and Jawan was 2 hours 49 minutes. Which means Dunki sits right between the two as the second longest. King Khan used a similar pattern for the promotions of the three films. As for Dunki, the promotional strategy has been divided into Drops. The actor is also counting the days to release with a special countdown where he puts new promotional content every day.

However, it was recently when it was discovered that there was a fake invite for a bogus promotional event circulating on the internet. Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment issued a notice and clarified that it is not true. The invite is fake and the fans and interested users should not believe the same. The statement was shared on the official Instagram handle of the production house.

The caption to the post read, “A fake promotion invite from Red Chillies Entertainment is being circulated for the film Dunki in Jaipur at GT Mall on 23rd December 2023. Please note that this is absolutely untrue and neither Red Chillies nor the cast nor anyone associated with the film is supporting this. We request everyone to refrain from participating in it,” and added, “In case of any event, we will share an official announcement.”
