Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki divides fans - While some are busy with epic celebrations, others leave theatres in dismay

This year, actor Shah Rukh Khan has given two extremely successful performances in a row. King Khan has been unstoppable, impressing fans with Jawan and starting the year with Pathaan. With the release of his latest project Dunki on December 21, the actor is now prepared to light up the big screen once more.

However, the initial reactions to Shah Rukh Khan's third film of 2023 have been mixed. As reviews from critics are still pending, many people who saw the movie on the opening day shared their thoughts on social media.

An X user, who was unhappy with the movie, wrote, “#Dunki is definitely #RajkumarHirani's weakest film till date! The humour is unfunny and the script and execution is dull! #Taapsee and #ShahRukhKhan literally have 0 chemistry which was important for a film like this! #VickyKaushal was the only saving grace.”

“As a #ShahRukhKhan fan totally disappointed with #Dunki. #RajkumarHirani's weakest film till date. The film is strictly average. The search of a Classic for #SRK continues,” wrote an SRK fan.

She struggled to hold the emotional scenes in #Dunki. Overall it's a one time show."

It's not that everyone is disappointed with the movie, though, as many others really enjoyed Dunki and found it to be very entertaining. A user hailed the movie as a "family entertainer" and stated, "Just caught Dunki and it's fantastic! SRK shines with an outstanding performance. A definite family entertainer!"

Similar thoughts were expressed by another user, who said, "SRK's performance in #Dunki is phenomenal! This film is a guaranteed SUPER DUPER HIT! Don't miss it!"
