Remember when Shah Rukh Khan went viral over his glimpse for King? It so happens that the superstar had already started shooting for an important sequence related to the movie. We now have inside scoop on what the scene is and how is it shot, among other details. Here's everything you need to know...
According to a Mid-Day report, Shah Rukh Khan had already commenced shooting for King a week back. The actor is shooting in Bandra's Mehboob Studios since the time. He had been prepping for the role weeks prior to the shoot.
A source confirmed to the portal that 200 stunt performers have been roped in for the scene which plays a crucial part in the movie. "The scene is set in a foreign jail, where the protagonist takes on a gang of baddies. Since it forms a critical part of the narrative, Siddharth has flown in three international stunt experts to design the scene. On June 15, the crowd portions were canned with nearly 200 stunt performers," the little birdie shared. The sequence is likely to wrap up on June 21.
The scene, despite being grand, is not the moment when Shah Rukh Khan and lead antagonist (played by Abhishek Bachchan)'s characters go loggerheads. Another moment that fans wait for is seeing SRK's daughter Suhana share screen space with him for the first time ever. The movie, helmed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan director Siddharth Anand, reportedly also features Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. King aims to release in the second half of 2026 (around October-December).
