Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan postponed, paves way for Prabhas’ Adipurush?

Many have been waiting for Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan to release in theatres. The movie was slated to release on June 2 but now it might just be postponed. The move might just get Prabhas’ Adipurush an earlier release.

A report on Film Information claims that Jawan has been postponed. The movie might now be postponed to June 29, for it will be the Eid-Al-Adha holiday.

Many movies were preponed and postponed to pave way for Jawan. However, if the film itself gets postponed, many will release earlier in the month.

One such release reportedly is Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The movie was previously slated to release on June 16 but will now be in theatres on June 2.

Other movies that could be affected by the new release date are Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan and Kartik Aaryan’s Satyaprem Ki Katha. While Maidaan was slated for June 23 release, Satyaprem Ki Katha was scheduled for June 29 release. With Jawan releasing the same day, Kartik is likely to change the release date of his movie.

Jawan is the first time that Shah Rukh Khan works with Atlee. The actor also collaborates with Nayanthara as the lead actress through the movie.

Shah Rukh Khan also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in the pipeline. Co-starring Taapsee Pannu, the movie is scheduled to release in December 2023.
