Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan to release on Netflix with additional 20 minutes?

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan currently has a blockbuster run at the Box Office. The movie is reportedly going to start streaming on Netflix after its theatrical run but that’s not all. It now looks like the makers will release the film on the OTT platform with an additional 20 minutes.

Jawan on Netflix?

The makers did not reveal what OTT platform will Jawan release on through the film. However, it looks like Netflix has cracked a deal with the movie and will be releasing the blockbuster digitally within a few days.

20 minutes added

According to Zoom, additional 20 minutes will be added to Jawan on OTT. This includes some deleted scenes, including a major action sequence which was cut down for the theatrical release. It looks like director Atlee is working on the director’s cut version which will be available for digital streaming.

3 hours film

Jawan released in theatres for 2 hours and 45 minutes. It will stream for a good three hours and will include the deleted scenes. The decision, it looks like, was a collective one of Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan. They wanted their fans to have a cinematic experience, at least online.

Jawan a blockbuster, ready for sequel

Jawan will cross Rs. 500 crores soon. The film is already a blockbuster and could beat Gadar 2’s collections too. Moreover, Atlee had confirmed to Pinkvilla that he is indeed thinking about a sequel to Jawan. The question was raised after Jawan had an open-ending. If reports are to be believed, the filmmaker has already started working on the script for the sequel. If not Jawan 2, Atlee could also make a spin-off on SRK’s character, Vikram Rathore. Fans have demanded the same and Atlee holds the character close and thus, he shared that there could be a spin-off on him. Thus, one can expect the sequel, spin-off or both pretty soon.
