Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Salman Khan’s Tiger to have an epic face off? Aditya Chopra’s big plans for the YRF spy universe

Aditya Chopra’s spy universe witnessed one of its biggest hits in the form of Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release, Pathan. The film, which went on to become the highest grossing Hindi film ever, saw Shah Rukh take the silver screen by storm in a leading role after almost 4 years. Aditya Chopra had a special treat in store for fans, when he got Shah Rukh’s Pathaan and Salman Khan’s Tiger on screen together for the first ever time, in an action packed sequence that took viewers breaths away. And it seems that Aditya is not done with Tiger and Pathaan’s reunion just yet.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Aditya is planning a two hero film featuring SRK’s Pathaan and Salman’s Tiger, and the producer had already locked in the script and preparations for the same were going as planned. The producer himself had developed the upcoming film’s story, along with Sridhar Raghavan, who had been a writer on Pathaan as well. The latter had reportedly been appointed as the ‘mentor writer’ of the YRF Spy Universe.

The report further stated that the film would feature a face off between SRK and Salman’s characters, comparing it with the face off between Marvel’s Iron Man and Captain America in Civil War. A source told the portal that at present, the YRF team was working on the visual effects and post production work of Tiger 3, which stars Salman, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.

Apart from Pathaan and the Tiger trilogy(which includes 2012’s Ek Tha Tiger, 2017’s Tiger Zinda Hai and the upcoming Tiger 3), the YRF spy universe also includes War(2019), starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. War was also directed by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand.

Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is now showing in theatres.
