Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan trailer released in Russian language; film to release on July 13

It was exactly on 25 January this year when the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’ got released. If one has to jog the memories, one will recall that, just a few days before the film’s release, there was a huge uproar over Deepika Padukone’s costume, which gave way too many ‘trending hashtags’. Despite all the odds, the Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham starrer ‘Pathaan’ went on to create records after records and eventually became one of the top grossing films of recent times.

A few weeks ago, we had reported a news item stating that the film ‘Pathaan’ will now be released in China, Japan and Latin America. It now seems that these countries need to wait a bit as the film ‘Pathaan’ is now being readied to be released in Russia. The Russian trailer of the film also got launched today on social media.

As per the press statement issued by Yash Raj Films (YRF), it states that “The film ‘Pathaan’ is being released in the dubbed versions across Russia and also the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) including Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijaan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan. The dubbed version of the film ‘Pathaan’ will be released on July 13 in this region across 3000+ screens. The statement also stated that CIS would be creating another history as it gets the widest release for an Indian film in dubbed version across Russia.

While the film ‘Pathaan’ had been directed by Siddharth Anand, it was produced by Aditya Chopra. At the last count, the film had to its credit of being the highest grossing film worldwide in the history of Hindi cinema with over Rs. 1050 crore gross at the global box office! The film ‘Pathaan’ is a part of Aditya Chopra’s much talked about YRF’s ‘Spy Universe’. The said ‘Spy Universe’ is home to other hit films including ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘War’.
