Celebrity names don’t get as big as Shah Rukh Khan in India. The actor is one of the most beloved and celebrated actors in the country. Rajkumar Hirani is another name that is synonymous with the movie industry in the country. When these two come together for a movie, it will be expected to be something special. 

Recent reports have been about Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani joining hands to make a movie. The two will be collaborating for the first time and the movie is written by Hirani, Kanika Dhillon and Abhijat Joshi. The comedy, which will be set against the backdrop of immigration, is expected to have the unique storytelling stamp of Hrani, for which the writer-director is known.

According to a report by the Times of India, a source close to the development has said, “The script of Rajkumar Hirani’s film with Shah Rukh Khan has been locked and is ready for production. Hirani, Kanika Dhillon and Abhijat Joshi worked on the script for over a year and all through the lockdown,”. The source has also said that the movie will be another hit for Hirani, going by what is being heard about the script. 

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in a full role in Zero, the comedy drama directed by Aanand L. Rai which came out in 2018. The King Khan of Bollywood has a few big projects under his belt, which are already highly anticipated.

He is working on Pathan, which sees him share screen space with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The star is also working on a film directed by Atlee, who has helmed blockbuster projects in Tamil like Mersal and Theri.
