After the success of The Family Man season 2 on Amazon Prime Video, all eyes will be on Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s next series, which has Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. The Bollywood star is already feeling the pressure, as revealed to his fans in an Instagram session recently.
Shahid, who was part of the session celebrating two years since Kabir Singh’s release, said, “I’m very nervous about making my digital debut because I really feel that actors who might have been liked and loved on the big screen, might or might not be appreciated on a digital platform… The long-form formats are more difficult to pull off because actors have to ensure that the audiences continue to remain interested in their characters”
The actor also hinted that the web series, which could drop later this year, is a “quirky crime drama”. “"I have loved Raj and DK's work for a while. I really enjoyed seeing 'The Family Man' and I totally loved season two. The web series is very different from anything that I've ever done. It's going to be exciting,” he said.
In an earlier statement, Shahid had said that he couldn’t think of anyone better than Raj and DK to make his digital debut with. The series, which is written by Sita R Menon, Suman Kumar and Hussain Dalal, also has Raashi Khanna in a pivotal role.
Shahid, meanwhile, has also completed the shoot of Jersey, which is the remake of the Telugu film starring Nani.
