Shahid Kapoor is all set to make his OTT debut, guns blazing, with Raj and DK’s upcoming web series Farzi. The actor promises to be at his charismatic best in the show, and it seems that his own family, including his wife Mira Rajput and brother Ishaan Katter, are bearing the brunt of Shahid’s Farzi avatar.

In a new promo for the upcoming show, Mira and Ishaan are seen with a plethora of gifts lying in front of them, which they proudly declare were given to them by Shahid. But their smiles soon turn upside down when they start opening their gifts, starting with Mira. As she excitedly unwraps a box containing flowers, she becomes annoyed after learning that they are fake. After mocking Mira, Ishaan gets an unpleasant surprise when he bites into the cookies that Shahid gifted, and finds out that they are fake too.

The duo realise that almost all the ‘gifts’ in front of them are fake, and angrily call out for Shahid, who offers the explanation that the gifts are not from him, but from Sunny. As Mira and Ishaan look on with confusion, Shahid explains that Sunny is the character he plays in his upcoming show Farzi.

Check out the hilarious video below:

Farzi revolves around the story of Sunny, a small-time artist who finds himself in the world of crime when he comes up with a way to make counterfeit notes. His antics make him at the risk of being targeted by Mihael, a task force officer with a goal of ridding the country of fake money.

In addition to Shahid, the upcoming series will also feature Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar in prominent roles. The series was bankrolled under the banner of D2R Films.

Farzi will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from February 10, 2023 onwards. The series will be available for streaming in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu
