Last year, an announcement was made about an interesting project featuring Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Jyotika in the leading roles. The film's title has been announced, along with a gritty poster. The film Shaitaan, a supernatural thriller, will hit the big screen on March 8, 2024.

Poster and social media buzz

The lead actors and makers posted the poster on their social media pages. It features black dolls, which is a sign of black magic. While sharing the poster, they wrote, "#Shaitaan is coming for you. Taking over cinemas on March 8, 2024."

Check out the poster below:

In the film, Ajay, Madhavan, and Jyotika embark on a chilling adventure with this riveting tale that weaves together aspects of Indian black magic.

Casting dynamics

We indeed look forward to this film, which has cracked a casting coup by bringing in vivid talents from across industries. Moreover, the film also marks Jyotika's return to Hindi cinema after two decades or so.

Meanwhile, Priyamaana Thozhi and Dumm Dumm Dumm are only two of the films in which Jyotika has collaborated with R. Madhavan, while they are working with Ajay for the first time. As per reports in ETimes, Jyotika will play Ajay Devgn's wife in the film, which is reportedly the Hindi adaptation of the Gujarati film, Vash.

Moreover, the Gujarati original's Janki Bodiwala will reprise her part in the role of Ajay's daughter in the film. They shot the film in Mumbai, Mussoorie, and London over a continuous 45-day period.

Vikas Bahl directs Shaitaan, which has Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak serving as producers. Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios present the film.

This is Vikas' first outing in the supernatural genre, as his last outing was the emotional drama Goodbye, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, and then Bollywood debutante Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
