Trade analysts' insights on box office prospects

Shaitaan marks a horror film in mainstream Bollywood after nearly two years, that is, after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As a result, during an interaction with Times Now, trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the box office fate, stating that the first impression matters the most and adding that the trailer successfully made an impression. The supernatural elements and trailer storyline have received complete and utter approval. It looks like a solid film; therefore, he is expecting it to have a double-digit opening, and he finds the star cast to be rather intriguing as well.

Girish Johar, another trade analyst, thinks Shaitaan is becoming hotter daily and calls it an underdog that is becoming more and more popular at the box office daily. The trailer has been a huge hit, and Ajay Devgn and Madhavan seem really terrifying. This family-friendly horror flick is sure to please urban audiences and maybe even the general public. They are hoping for a great opening weekend at the box office because the film's awareness level among audiences is high.

To this, Atul Mohan added that there is hope in Shaitaan. Although it is true that this is the first major horror film starring A-listers, it is important to remember that twenty years ago, Ajay Devgan had tremendous success with Bhoot. Since Shaitaan is a remake of a popular Gujarati film, it reaps the advantages of playing on familiar ground. With Ajay at the helm, the film exudes confidence, following in the footsteps of his successful remakes, such as Drishyam. Fans identify with the story's central character—a father who must once again defend his family—and find themselves engrossed by the performances of the outstanding ensemble cast, especially R. Madhavan. Thanks to the marketing team's hard work, there is a lot of excitement building, and the positive reception of the trailer further adds to it. Shaitaan may be popular with audiences and profitable at the box office.
