Director Vikas Bahl's Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyotika, Janki Bodiwala, Palak Lalwani, Anngad Raaj, Manoj Anand, Hiten Patel, Richa Prakash, Roshni Kaur, and Kishore Bhatt in significant roles, was released in theatres today. The film draws inspiration from Krishnadev Yagnik's Vash, a Gujarati film released in 2023. Janki Bodiwala, who has a significant role in Shaitaan, also starred in the original movie.

Shaitaan Twitter review
Shaitaan has received mostly positive reviews from Twitter users, who have said that there is no dull moment in the thriller that has viewers on the edge of their seats.
One Twitter user wrote, “A highly engaging seat edge thriller. Recommend for Thriller fans!” While another posted, “#Shaitaan is the thriller that will keep you at the edge of your seats.” The same user also mentioned that with many tense scenarios, there’s literally never a dull moment in the film.
Yet another user chimed in with, “It’s showtime #AjayDevgn in #Shaitaan!”
Calling Shaitaan "outstanding", one film buff wrote, “If a raucous and mildly unsettling hostage drama with a more than mildly entertaining R Madhavan is enough for you, go watch it!”
Lauding not just the actors’ performances, but also the movie’s impeccable background score, a Twitter user commented, “Must watch especially with the background score. Ajay Devgn is awesome especially in the final scene. #Shaitaan”
Kannada and Telugu film director and screenwriter, and K.G.F. filmmaker Prashanth Neel also lauded Shaitaan terming it, “Outstanding Blockbuster Loading...”
What is Shaitaan about?
When a mystery stranger (R Madhavan) forcibly enters the life of a happy family (Ajay Devgn, Jyotika, and Janki Bodiwala), he manipulates the young girl into turning her inner darkness on her own family. This is the main plot of Shaitaan that is produced by Ajay and Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
Madhavan’s fans are in for a treat as they get to see their favourite star in a completely different avatar in Shaitaan.
It is interesting to note that shooting for Shaitaan was completed in just 40 days. And that producer Kumar Mangat Pathak had disclosed during the Shaitaan trailer premiere event that negotiations are underway for the second installment of the film.
