This morning, a piece of positive news poured in for Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer Shaitaan. The film has successfully minted over Rs 50 crores globally within just three days of its release. While fans of the actors are overjoyed with the development, the latest report suggests that a sequel of Shaitaan might be likely. Aamil Keeyan Khan – writer of Shaitaan, has indirectly hinted that he is preparing a script for the horror thriller.

Is a sequel of Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer Shaitaan likely?

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama recently, Aamil acknowledged the success of the film. He said that he has seen the film multiple times and is glad to know that the film’s climax has been received well among the masses. “As a writer, I feel happy to see such a response,” he said.

Aamil also praised the acting skills of R Madhavan, Ajay Devgn and Jyotika in the movie. Later, when asked whether there will be a sequel to the film, he appeared hesitant to reveal the details.

Later, Aamil said, “Fingers crossed but I guess everyone is already talking about it. Kumar ji (producer Kumar Mangat Pathak) has said it. There’s an idea that has been cracked. It’s a brilliant idea. It’s too early to comment on it though.”

Only time will tell whether there will be a sequel to the film or not.

Shaitaan box office collection

Vikas Bahl's horror thriller Shaitaan starring Ajay Devgn, Jyotika, and R Madhavan is steadily improving its box office performance each day. On Sunday, the film achieved its highest daily earnings since its release. After opening with Rs 14.75 crore on Friday, the film saw a 27% increase on Saturday, earning Rs 18.75 crore. On Sunday, Shaitaan collected Rs 20.5 crore in India, bringing its total domestic earnings to Rs 54 crore.

The film is produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios and Panorama Studios. It is the remake of the 2023 Gujarati film Vash.
