Shaitan and Save The Tigers fame Mahi V Raghav gets plum offers from Netflix and Amazon, details inside

Shaitan, the latest Telugu web series on Hotstar is clocking millions of viewing minutes with each passing day. The makers are thrilled with the response and one of the team members from Hostar has revealed to OTTplay that Shaitan is the most-watched web series ever in the regional space in the last year or so. The show is created and directed by Mahi V Raghav, the talented director from Telugu cinema.

Shaitan is Mahi V Raghav's back-to-back hit on OTT after Save The Tigers which was also well received and made him a force to reckon with in the OTT space. Mahi says that he does not want to get termed as an OTT specialist and will be doing big-screen films in the days to come. 

Mahi launched his production house, Three Autumn Leaves, and is making content-oriented projects for OTT and big screen. He is the only director in Telugu cinema who is balancing both OTT and theatrical films at a time. Post the success of these web series, Mahi has been getting plump offers from Amazon and Netflix to make shows for them. The news is also that he has locked a deal with one of the OTT giants. 

Mahi is known for his writing and has showcased in films like Yatra, which was based on the life of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, in a splendid manner. In the days to come, Mahi V Raghav will be releasing his new big-screen film Siddha which is a social satire. Then, there is Yatra 2 which is the biopic of AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. 

But one can say that with Shaitan, Mahi has truly made a mark of his own. Though the show was trolled for the usage of curse words, Shaitan has become the most-watched show and has put Mahi in the limelight. We need to see what kind of projects will Mahi V Raghav come up with in the OTT space.
