Headlined by actor and composer Vijay Antony, 2025 Tamil film Shakthi Thirumagan released in theatres and running in big screens now. The film which is on the commercial lines and a political flick, has made Rs 90 lakhs on day one at the box office, as per Sacnilk. Shakthi Thirumagan leads the race among all the three Tamil releases this week. While Kavin starrer Kiss made Rs 40 lakhs, social drama Thandakaaranyam is trailing behind with Rs 20 lakhs.

Vijay Antony’s Shakthi Thirumagan still has the weekend to get picked up. Directed by filmmaker Arun Prabu who earlier made films like Vaazhl and Aruvi, Shakthi Thirumagan marks the first time Vijay Antony is collaborating with the filmmaker. Upon its release, the film received mixed reviews, with critics praising the first half, while being disappointed with second half.
