Vijay Antony’s latest film Shakthi Thirumagan is a new Tamil OTT release. It is available on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium. For those who have not watched the film, it is about a political broker named Kittu who can get things done within seconds and move mountains at the secretariat. But what happens when Kittu gets cornered in such a way while executing a heist worth several crores that can set the government trembling?

However, much early on in the film, we get to see that a young tribal woman's death, raped and murdered, was covered up under the influence of a government lobbyist Abhyankkar Srinivasa Swamy, while her infant was discarded at a garbage dump. While this might not seem connected in the present, we see Kittu, the infant, now a grown-up working for Abyankkar and even pulls some strings to oust a minister whose PA takes bribes.

But back to Kittu's story, he becomes crucial in executing a secret ploy for central minister Latha's nephew. Through his clever strategy and manipulation, Kittu aids the nephew to get the minister to transfer 300-crore worth land to his name, which is set to witness a Japanese project. This leads Latha to transfer the property to her nephew's name, but soon senses that something is wrong, thus cancelling the project. As this step causes the land value to plummet, Kittu is forced to return money to the nephew.

Meanwhile, Abyankkar senses Kittu's handiwork in the scam and the murders he committed. But it becomes too late by when Kittu has escaped with money worth several thousands crores. Meanwhile, this unaccounted money has been used by Kittu and his alliances to help those in need, including farmers, students and the fishermen community.

It is at this point, we are revealed of Kittu's past, when he was saved as an infant from the garbage dump by an old man who propagates Periyar's ideologies. Growing up as a disciple of progressive ideas, Kittu gets to know the real reason behind his mother's murder and seeks out revenge from Abhyankkar.

What is the climax of Shakthi Thirumagan

In what ensues a cat-and-mouse chase between Kittu and Abhyankkar, we are revealed that the latter is lobbying to be the next president of India while Kittu is one step further by converting the money into cryptocurrency using a student hacker. Further, Kittu also begins to destroy Abhyankkar's factories.

Towards the end, when Kittu is almost caught by the officials, Abhyankkar's presidential candidature is under threat after Kittu uses the help of an escort to kidnap the son of one of the richest men in India. Meanwhile, Kittu also exposes the wrongdoings of Abhyankkar, eventually making him lose the position. In the end, Kittu kills Abhyankkar but cleverly escapes from the police. Later, we see Kittu's wife giving birth to their baby, while the whereabouts of Kittu remain a mystery, suggesting that he has taken his family to a safe place.
