Shalin Bhanot becomes Bigg Boss 16 entertainer of the week, is it because of his Tina Datta incident?

Shalin Bhanot has been declared the entertainer of the week on Bigg Boss 16. The actor gained most spotlight for what he did with Tina Datta through the week. Shalin had first evicted Tina from the show and then brought her back.

Tina’s reaction and Shalin’s reaction to Tina’s reaction on coming back to Bigg Boss 16, was the highlight of the week. She gave him the cold treatment which left Shalin confused.

Shalin Bhanot had evicted Tina from Bigg Boss 16 thinking that she wanted to go home. It was also the option of choosing between Tina or Sumbul or Rs. 25 lakhs. He chose the latter. Furthermore, Shalin claimed that he knew Tina would leave the show because host Salman Khan had hinted the same on Shanivaar Ka Vaar. Nonetheless, he let Tina go, only to get a lashing from her when she returned the second time around.

Shalin received a lot of praises for saving Rs. 25 lakhs the first time around. However, when he got the second opportunity to bring Tina back in the house, Shalin readily gave up the money and invited the whole house’s wrath, including Tina’s.

After Tina’s exit, Shalin started crying and then stopped himself from crying thinking what it would look like to the cameras. It is also when Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary stood by him and consoled him with the dance. At the same time, she ensured Ankit Gupta was envious about her friendship with Shalin. It became a joke between Shalin and PriyAnkit ever since.

The next morning, Shalin was heard telling Tina’s nemesis Sreejita De that he didn’t even like Tina but she was a good friend because she would cook him good chicken. Sreejita also joked that is how the two became friends.

Tina was observing Shalin’s behaviour from the secret room and when he brought her back in the house, she gave it back to him. Tina’s cold behaviour left Shalin confused and lost for words. He approached her, went back and came back. This repeated behaviour and especially Shalin’s lost expressions throughout, unwillingly, became entertaining for both the housemates as well as the viewers.

Ever since her entry, Tina has tried to maintain her distance from Shalin but somehow gets drawn to him again-and-again. She eventually ends up fighting with him and walking out on him, which is also something that Shalin has predicted and made a joke out of with the wild card entrant, Vikkas Maniktala.
