"As soon as I read the script, I knew the story had to be told sooner or later, " were the reactions of actress Satanic Gupta who stars in the Amazon miniTV short film 'Shameless'.
An Amazon miniTV banger, Shameless is a 15-minutes long fast-paced dark comedy thriller. Shortlisted for the prestigious New York Indian Film Festival, it explores the loss of human spirit and emotion as an effect of our technologically-driven lives.
The film stars Sayani Gupta in the lead role who portrays a delivery girl named Bharti alongside Hussain Dalal who plays the character of a software engineer, Praveen. Since its release, the movie has been receiving immense love and acclaim from the viewers who are appreciating the movie for portraying the reality of today's times apart from the lead duo's stellar performances.
Its actors, Sayani and Hussain have been all praises for the storyline and been vocal about how they came to prepare for their performances and shoot for this gripping thriller. Sayani said in a press statement that the film is a success due to its clear message. “I remember it being a roller coaster ride while I and Hussain shot for the movie's climax. However, because of our bond, the reactions came naturally to us and that is why it did not feel scripted at all," she said.
Meanwhile, Hussain said that he had delved deep into people's suffering to absorb the character. "I extensively studied people's characters and tried to understand the reasons behind their sadness. I myself was also a victim of bullying, and hence I observed myself as well as talked to my friends who work as delivery boys to know how they cope with their breakdowns," says Hussain.
Directed by Keith Gomes and produced by Shabina Entertainment, Shameless is now available for free to stream on the Amazon miniTV within the Amazon Shopping App.
