Directed by Keith Gomes, Shameless was India’s entry for Oscar in live-action short film category

Keith Gomes’ short film, Shameless, captured the attention of moviegoers from across the globe in recent months. The short film, which was India’s official entry for the Oscars in the live-action short film category, now gets its digital release.
The news was shared on Amazon mini TV’s official Twitter handle. “When your shamelessness can cost you your life, what do you do? Introspect!! Watch our new award winning short film SHAMELESS on Amazon miniTV for FREE only at your Amazon Shopping app RIGHT NOW. Starring @sayanigupta & @hussainthelal (sic)” the makers wrote, sharing a poster for the movie.

Amazon mini TV also shared the trailer for the short film on its YouTube channel. The trailer features Hussain Dalal as a rude, unsympathetic man who is in a work-from-home environment. Sayani Gupta, on the other hand, is a pizza delivery person who is disrespected by Hussain’s character.

The short film deals with the subject of how people are slowly losing their sense of respect and compassion for other humans, in this age of social media and technology. The 15 minute fast-paced dark comedy thriller was also a finalist at the 3rd edition of the Best of India Short Film Festival 2020. It also premiered at the New York Indian Film Festival.
Written and directed by Keith Gomes, the short film is presented by Shabinaa Khan. Apart from Sayani and Hussain, the movie also features Rishabh Kapoor. The short film is now available to stream on Amazon mini TV.
