Shamshera new release date: Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Vaani Kapoor announce with an intriguing video

After Prithviraj, Yash Raj Films has finally announced the release date of Shamshera. After a four-year-long wait, Ranbir Kapoor is finally coming to the big screen. The actor will be seen playing the role of a dacoit in the Karan Malhotra directorial, also featuring Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist and Vaani Kapoor as the female lead. The film is finally set to hit theaters on July 22, 2022.

The announcement was made with an intriguing video featuring all three lead actors in Shamshera: Ranbir, Sanjay and Vaani. They give a glimpse into what one can expect from the upcoming film.

YRF and Ranbir Kapoor are teaming up once more for Shamshera, a desi mega-action masala blockbuster. The film will be a high-octane, larger-than-life blockbuster set in India's heartland, with jaw-dropping action sequences and promises to have Ranbir in a never-before-seen avatar. 

In the period action-adventure Shamshera, Sanjay will play the vicious, merciless villain! In the major action spectacle, he will be matched against Ranbir. In this big action-adventure, Vaani is ready to sizzle like never before. She will portray the most coveted and sought-after travelling performer from India's interior.

Ranbir's last outing with YRF was the 2009 release Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, for which he was appreciated a lot. The actor is working with both Sanjay and Vaani for the first time. Shamshera also marks his first outing with the director, Malhotra.

The film went on floors in 2018, and the release was delayed for a long time due to the coronavirus pandemic. Ranbir's fans can't wait for Shamshera as they have been longing to see the actor on the big screen for many years now. The film is likely to be the second release from YRF after Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj, which has got a release date of June 2022.
