Shamshera, which marked Ranbir Kapoor’s return to the big screen after almost four years, made its way onto OTT recently. But despite the hype, the Karan Malhotra directorial not only witnessed a lacklustre run at the box office, but also opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences. After the film’s digital premiere recently, many netizens also spotted a major goof up in the film, and took to Twitter to troll the makers for the same.

The scene in question features Vaani Kapoor as Sona, where she is seen trying to protect her baby from being harmed. Amidst the action, some eagle eyed netizens spotted that the baby in the scene seemed to be missing, and it looked like Vaani was simply clutching onto a bundle of clothes. Netizens made sure to let makers know that the goof up did not go unnoticed. A user criticised the editing and production team of the film for the ‘huge’ blunder.

Some Twitter users had hilarious reactions to the goof up, and one user wrote “#Shamshera Makers Be Like: Humne Baby Ko Maan Liya Hai”. “Maybe something is missing, But what ?” wrote another. A netizen also compared the scene in Shamshera to a scene in Baahubali which also featured a baby, the special effects in the latter being much more sophisticated.

Netizens also pointed out another scene which featured Ranbir and Vaani on horseback, with the baby in the former’s arms. Curiously, the baby’s face seemed to be missing in that shot. “The baby’s worse in this shot, straight from a horror movie, has no face”, wrote one user.

The period action drama also starred Sanjay Dutt, Ronit Roy, and Saurabh Shukla in prominent roles. The film was produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

Shamshera is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
