Shamshera song Fitoor: Director praises Ranbir Kapoor-Vaani Kapoor’s ‘sensual chemistry’; track out on THIS date

Ranbir Kapoor promises to make a blazing comeback onto the silver screen with Shamshera. The makers are gearing up to unveil the second track from the film, which promises to give a glimpse into the ‘sizzling’ chemistry between Ranbir and his leading lady Vaani Kapoor. Director Karan Malhotra opened up about the track, a love song, and how the lea stars gave it their all.

In a statement, the director talked about how well Ranbir and Vaani emulated the love story between their characters Balli and Sona. Calling them ‘formidable actors’, Karan spoke of how important it was that the audiences really buy into the duo’s love story. The characters’ love bloomed during a period of crisis, and Balli had won Sona’s heart, despite the latter having a horse of suitors to choose from. Sona also plays a pivotal role in moving the narrative forward as well, Karan revealed.

The film’s next track Fitoor gave a glimpse of the ‘dynamic’ and ‘sensual’ chemistry between Balli and Sona. Karan said that both Ranbir and Vaani had ‘understood the brief’ of what was to be done clearly. “I hope people love how effortless and gorgeous they look together in this intensely sensual love song”, said the director.

Fitoor will be out on July 7, Thursday. The upcoming song is the second track form the film’s soundtrack, after Ji Huzoor.

Set in the 1800s, the upcoming film revolves around the story of Balli, a young man from a warrior tribe who is imprisoned by an evil authoritarian general named Shuddh Singh. Sanjay Dutt stars as Shuddh Singh. Ashutosh Rana and Ronit Roy also essay pivotal roles in the film. Aditya Chopra has bankrolled the film under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

Shamshera will hit the big screen on July 22, 2022, in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
