Simu Liu, the actor of Shang-Chi, wrote a post on Instagram about how it all came crashing down in a heartbeat for him. He, on the other hand, praised the firm for doing what he lacked the confidence to do because accounting was not his true passion. He talked about being terminated from his well-paying accounting job and how he handled the situation. He looks back on his struggle over the previous ten years.

Liu wrote that he felt like he had squandered time and money that his family had put into him. Years of hard work and the pressure to live upto parental expectations “all came crumbling down in a single moment,” he said.

He added that all of his time and money invested in Hollywood, something that many referred to as a silly dream, has just yielded results in the last three years.

Liu also thanked his former boss for firing him from his job, claiming it was “just the thing” for him.
