Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the latest movie from the MCU is ready to hit theatres. The movie, which will mark MCU’s 25th movie, is the first-of-its-kind with an all Asian cast from the MCU.

The movie is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed Just Mercy starring Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx. The movie follows Shang-Chi, a skilled martial artist who was trained to be an assassin at a young age, as he finds his way to the Ten Rings organisation following the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Awkwafina as Katy, Fala Chen as Jiang Li, Florian Munteanu as Razor Fist, Benedict Wong as Wong, Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan and Tony Leung as Wenwu / The Mandarin. This is MCU’s first movie with an Asian director and a predominantly Asian cast.

Marvel Entertainment dropped an official trailer for the movie on July 25, following a teaser, and both were received warmly by loyal fans of the MCU. While they do not seem as excited as they were for earlier Marvel movies, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is still considered a highly anticipated movie.

Though Marvel released Black Widow, set after the events of Captain America: Civil War and a number of shows that were released on Disney + Hotstar, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will give fans the first taste of what Marvel has planned for the future with Phase Four.

The superhero movie is ready to release in theatres across the globe on September 3.
