Sharad Kelkar on being a part of Indian Police Force: If you work in Rohit Shetty’s film or series, you will get the maximum viewership

There isn't much Sharad Kelkar hasn't tried in his more than 20 years in the industry, but the actor is certain that the offers he received previously were different from what he is doing today.

The actor told Mid Day that he has worked hard for years to avoid being typecast and to get picked for any role. Sharad thinks it's finally starting to show. In Rohit Shetty's upcoming series Indian Police Force, the actor will portray a police officer.

The Family Man actor believes that despite having known the director for more than 13 years, their friendship was designed for the Indian Police Force.

Working on a Rohit Shetty film or series would get him the most viewers, claims Sharad, as he is considered one of the industry's top directors. Following a long-overdue connection, they are now working together after so many years. The actor felt regal on set because of the excellent production value of the cop series.

Sharad concluded by saying that when people arrive on the set and are treated like kings, one can tell he's a big-time movie director. One feels as though they are a part of something bigger.

Meanwhile, he will make his Tamil film debut with Ayalaan and also be a leading actor in the Hindi film, Deja Vu. According to reports, he will also appear in the upcoming movies Oh My Puppy, Nayeka, Chathrapathi, and Rainbow. Also, Sharad has a pivotal role in the Netflix movie, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga. 

He will play the main character in Raanti, an action movie in Marathi that is a remake of the Kannada classic Ugramm. Also, he will make an appearance in the biopic Sri, which stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. Doctors, his new web series, is reportedly a medical drama.
