Suresh Heblikar to play a Gandhian in Guru Shishyaru
Acclaimed Kannada filmmaker and actor Suresh Heblikar makes his return to the big screen after a long five-year gap with Guru Shishyaru. The veteran, known for directing and starring in fictional films like Kadina Benki and Aaganthuka, will be seen as Nijaguna Shantappa in the upcoming sports drama. Heblikar’s character runs a school in the village the film is set in, and his stanch Gandhian outlook toward life becomes an integral aspect of the narrative.
