Shareek 2 release date: When and where to watch Jimmy Sheirgill's Punjabi film

After a long wait, Jimmy Sheirgill starrer Shareek 2 is slated to release in theatres. The Punjabi film, like most movies, was stuck in the pipeline, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also starring Dev Kharoud in the lead role, Shareek 2 will release in cinemas on April 29, 2022. Jimmy announced the same with a motion poster of the family drama.

What is the film Shareek 2 about?

The motion poster shows a funeral pyre and Dev and Jimmy holding sticks with fire. Dev plays the role of Gurbaaz Randhawa while Jimmy plays the role of Jaswant Randhawa in the film. The two hot-headed characters challenge each other for the ownership of crop fields after the death of their family member. The one-minute motion poster is accompanied by voice-overs by both the actors.

Who are all part of the cast and crew of the film?

Produced by Vivek Ohri, Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu, Shareek 2 is helmed by Navniat Singh. The movie also stars Sharan Kaur in the lead role along with Amar Noorie, Mukul Dev, Anita Meet, Yograj Singh, Aman Sutardhar, Mahavir Bhullar and Sunita Dhir in pivotal roles. The film has been penned by Inderpal Singh while Harmeet Singh worked on the project as a cinematographer.

Shareek 2 is a sequel to the 2015 hit film. Jimmy was a part of the original movie too.

The Jimmy Sheirgill-Dev Kharoud starrer was originally slated for July 2020 release. However, owing to the lockdown and theatres being shut, the release date of the film was pushed further for almost two years.
