The multi-talented actor Sharib Hashmi and Daisy Shah have been now roped in for the web series ‘The Ghost Of Gandhi’

After having worked as an assistant to the well-known choreographer Ganesh Acharya, Daisy Shah eventually went onto do films as the leading lady. After making her debut in the Kannada film ‘Bhadra’, she set her foot in Bollywood with the Salman Khan starrer ‘Jai Ho’. And more recently, she had participated in the Rohit Shetty hosted reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’. As for Sharib Hashmi, he made his small but strong debut with the Oscar winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. Post that, he went onto do films like ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, ‘Filmistaan’, ‘Vikram Vedha’, ‘Mission Majnu’ and others.
These two actors have now been roped in by Three Arrows Production and Seeta Films for their hard-hitting web series 'The Ghost of Gandhi'. Besides the two actors, the series will also see the presence of Atul Shrivastava, Deepak Kalra, Brijendra kala in prominent roles. The said web series, which will revolve around a female journalist played by Daisy Shah, will see Sharib Hashmi will be playing the role of a social activist.
'The Ghost of Gandhi' is being helmed by the well-known director Manish Kishore, who is also directing Swara Bhaskar's upcoming film 'Mrs Falani'. Besides being a director, Manish Kishore is also a writer who has, to his credit, of having written the extremely appreciated film 'Kaashi In Search Of Ganga', which starred Sharman Joshi. ‘The Ghost of Gandhi' is being produced by Sofia Agarwal.
Speaking about the web series, Manish exclusively spoke to OTTplay, “A web series on the ghost of Gandhi would offer a unique and intriguing perspective on the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. By exploring the idea of Gandhi’s spirit returning to guide and inspire, the show would delve into the continued relevance and impact of his teachings in contemporary society. It would provide a platform to examine how Gandhi’s principles of non-violence, truth, and social justice can be applied to address the challenges and injustices of our time”.
The teaser of the web series will be launched tomorrow.
