On Shark Tank India season 2, Flatheads founder Ganesh Balakrishnan’s story had certainly struck a chord with the sharks and viewers alike. In a Shark Tank first, the entrepreneur not only refused a deal from the sharks, but also declared on the platform that he will no longer continue his business and will look for another stable job instead. Now Ganesh’s wife Anuradha has come out with her side of the story as well.

For the uninitiated, Ganesh had come to the tank to pitch his lightweight, breathable and sustainable sneaker brand Flatheads. The entrepreneur had previously founded other startups as well, all of which were unsuccessful. Although the judges were impressed by the product, they were on board with the founder’s business plan.

When the sharks heard about his family, that his wife was the breadwinner and that they had a 10 year old daughter, Anupam Mittal went so far as to offer the founder a job. The sharks advised the founder to re examine his priorities and in the end, despite receiving an offer from Peyush Bansal, Ganesh decided to reject it and declared that he would no longer continue the business and would look for another job instead. The sharks appreciated Ganesh’s candidness.

Recently, Anuradha, Ganesh’s wife, took to LinkedIn to share her side of the story. She started her post with the line “Main kamati hun, wo udata hai”, something Ganesh himself said on the show. Anuradha spoke about how she stuck with her husband despite having doubts and apprehensions herself, and how hurt she felt seeing her husband going through rejections. She ended her post with a hopeful message, saying that her family could sail through the current storm as well.

New episodes of Shark Tank India season 2 can be streamed on SonyLIV at 10 PM every Monday to Friday.
