Like its predecessor, the latest season of Shark Tank India has seen a number of innovative products and brands take its stage. But it seems that, in addition to tradition, a number of up and coming entrepreneurs are also embracing tradition when embarking upon their entrepreneurial journey as well. Be it a business specialising in the sale of pooja flowers(Hoovu Fresh), or a brand trying to bring the beauty of traditional Chikankari designs to the mainstream(House of Chikankari), a number of young founders are basing their businesses on age old Indian traditions. And this pattern seems to be continuing in the latest week of the show as well.
This week, the entrepreneurs are taking it up a notch by marrying tradition with technology. A new promo by the makers of the show features some of the enterprising individuals and their businesses that audiences will be introduced to this week. From a machine that can wash tea glasses in seconds, to one that can increase the speed of a bicycle, to an online spices brand, the companies featured this week are vibrant indeed.
Even the judges seem to be quite impressed with the innovations. At one point, Shaadi.com CEO and co-founder Anupam Mittal is heard remarking to a pitcher that they will inspire children in villages, who will be spurred on to invent something and go into business by taking their example.
The promo’s caption read “This week, watch tradition meet technology as brands with the passion to solve problems with their innovation will be in the Tank!”.
