After losing a deal to fellow judge Aman Gupta on Thursday's episode of the popular reality show, Shark Tank India, judge Anupam Mittal lost his cool. Anupam warned Aman against being a 'hero' and even referred to him as a 'dalbadlu'.
Entrepreneurs Yushika Jolly and Siddharth Raghuvanshi presented their hair dye brand, Paradyes, on the show and requested Rs 65 lakh in funding in exchange for 1% equity. Each and every shark was impressed with their business strategy and financial forecast. Peyush Bansal was the first to make a proposal, offering Rs 65 lakh for 5% equity. Namita reneged on the agreement. Together, Anupam and Vineeta Singh made a 65 lakh for 4% equity offer to the pitchers.
Aman Gupta poked fun at Vineeta by advising her to sometimes consider her options other than working with Anupam. Anupam was offended by his remark and told him, “Tum value add nahi karte, herogiri karte ho" (You do not contribute value to the business, you simply act smart), to this, Aman responded, Hero hero rahega, villain villain. He made Yushika and Siddharth an offer, stating that he would give them Rs 65 lakhs in exchange for 5% stake.
Yushika and Siddharth revised their proposal after hearing all of the suggestions. The offer was for Aman and Vineeta, but they requested Rs 65 lakhs for 3% equity. Anupam became enraged over this and claimed the pitchers played a "dirty game." Anupam even taunted Vineeta and said, “Agar mein hota, ya kisi ke sath offer kia hota, toh aasman bhi hiljaye, zameen hiljaye… mein wahi ka wahi khada hota" (If I had made a joint offer with someone, I wouldn't have modified it for whatever and I would have kept to it).
He continued to refer to Aman Gupta as a "dalbadlu," and Aman questioned how he could stop the pitchers from teaming up with him and Vineeta.
Shark Tank India 2 can also be streamed on SonyLIV.
