Shark Tank India 2's Vineeta Singh rejects a competitor's cosmetic brand: 'I am the gunda of this industry'; netizens react

Shark Tank India's first episode aired on television, and viewers had mixed reactions to it. The entrepreneur show's first season received favorable reviews. However, the second season got off to a shaky start. Everything started when makeup brand entrepreneurs took part in the show.

The owners of the company Recode impressed the sharks with their pitch. However, Peyush Bansal rejected them since they directly competed with Vineeta Singh and her cosmetics line Sugar. Several viewers said that the Sharks are unfair and lack the guts to support aspiring business owners shortly after the episode ended. Some of them criticised them for choosing friendship over talent.

Vineeta, who also owns a beauty company, was exploring their merchandise and looked satisfied with the crayon's quality. When the Recode team pointed out that her company, Sugar, was following them on social media, she claimed that she had never heard of the business. She went on to add, "Let me first clear, I am the gunda of this industry."

This made netizens angry and they started bashing the show and Sharks on social media. A user wrote, "Recode makeup deserved better than this. 15 cr FYI 21-22 with 6% PAT. You kidding me? Making stupid faces and laughing on founders? Horrible. I bet you this brand will beat Sugar cosmetics in 5 years. #SharkTankIndiaS2." Another user wrote, "@SonyTV After Watching #SharkTankIndiaS2 Feeling very sad for #Recode These guys had very good Sale's but they didn't get any offer for Sharks. Wtf isko nahi mila matlab kisko milega. After watching this feels program is biased They are not Sharks like USA They are family." On Monday (January 2), the second season of the well-known business reality TV show Shark Tank premiered with a new judge. In Season 2 of Shark Tank, former co-founder of BharatPe Ashneer Grover is replaced by Amit Jain, founder of CarDekho Group. From Monday to Friday at 10 PM, Shark Tank Season 2 will air on the Sony LIV app and Sony Entertainment Television channel. Aman Gupta, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal, and Namita Thapar are the additional regular Sharks.
