Shark Tank India offered both aspiring and established entrepreneurs in the country, a chance to meet some of the most prominent business persons in India. But it seems that even the ‘ferocious’ sharks too can get starstruck from time to time. One of them, Shaadi.com founder and CEO Anupam Mittal, revealed how nervous he was to meet Amitabh Bachchan when the sharks appeared on the Kaun Banega Crorepati stage.
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Mittal said that when he first met Big B, the businessman felt as if he had made a ‘mistake’ when he conversed with the actor. Mittal talked about how Bachchan had asked him to explain the workings of the show, and the former decided to use the opportunity to tell a joke. The businessman joked that Shark Tank India was similar to KBC. The only difference was that on KBC, he gets a chance to earn money, while on Shark Tank, Mittal has to spend the money.
The businessman recalls that Big B had paused for a moment when he heard the joke and stared at him, and in the split second, Mittal thought that he shouldn't have said it. But when Bachchan laughed, the businessman heaved a sigh of relief.
When he made his KBC appearance, Mittal was joined by his fellow sharks Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Ashneer Grover and Ghazal Alagh.
