Shark Tank India: Ashneer Grover hits back at reports saying he owns a Rs 10 crore dining table

Shark Tank India wrapped its first season a while back, but some of the sharks and contestants are still under the public eye. Ashneer Grover is a shark from the show that has been in the news even after the show finished airing. 

Grover took to Twitter yesterday to turn down reports that suggested the former BharatPe managing director owns a dining table worth Rs. 10 crore and lives a luxurious lifestyle. 

“Is it a space rocket? Is it a time machine? No, it's a ₹10cr dining table !! Haha ! I don’t hold the Guinness World Record for most expensive table ever.”, he wrote, sharing a photo of what appears to be his dining table.

He also asked the press not to fall for lies from the BharatPe board and undisclosed sources and their lies, which would lead to the press losing credibility. 

He further added that the table is not worth anything close to what is mentioned in the reports and that he would rather invest the money in businesses and help employ people. 

Grover recently stepped down from his post as director of BharatPe, days after BharatPe let his wife go for alleged financial irregu larities, ranging from producing fake invoices to billing the company for personal beauty treatment and trips abroad.Grover was loved and hated by Shark Tank India’s fans for his fiery character and he often lost his cool with contestants. He had earlier opened up about attracting a lot of hateful comments and trolls.
