Two weeks ago, Shark Tank India returned to India for another glorious season. The first season was life changing to say the least for a number of entrepreneurs, and the second season seems to be no different. One of the biggest part of that is definitely the sharks, some of the savviest businesspersons from across the country whom contestants have to convince to secure an investment. The second season also saw the judges at their best when it came to striking deals, and after two weeks raked up quite a hefty sum in investments.

The first two weeks saw Shaadi.com founder and CEO Anupam Mittal, boAt CMO and co-founder Aman Gupta, Emcure Pharmaceuticals executive director Namita Thapar, Lenskart CEO and co-founder Peyush Bansal, and SUGAR Cosmetics CEO and co-founder Vineeta Singh, grace the tank yet again, bringing with them some valuable lessons they learnt from their stint on the first season of the show as well.

As the second week came to an end, the five sharks invested a whopping Rs 17.58 crores in deals. In the lead is Namita, having invested Rs 5.03 crores in the businesses she believed in, almost double the amount she had invested in the first week, which had come about to Rs 2.3 crores. Not far behind her is Aman with Rs 3.55 in investments, a huge jump from his first week’s investments which came about to be Rs 2.1 crores.

Peyush ranks third this week, with investments of about Rs 3.13 crores. Following them is Vineeta with Rs 2.95 crores and Anupam with Rs 2.92 crores.

The upcoming week will see the newest shark, CarDekho co-founder and CEO Amit Jain take to the tank as well. Amit replaces BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover as judge in season 2.
