Sippline founder Rohit Warrier who faced the wrath of judges on the business reality show, Shark Tank India, has again uploaded a video, taking a dig at shark Ashneer Grover. The former MD and co-founder of BharatPe is known for his harsh criticism on the show and he did not spare even the Sippline founder when he came on the show to pitch his product.
Warrier owns the startup Sippline Drinking Shields, which is a shield used over glasses and mugs to prevent any stains on them and any contamination. When the founder presented the business idea on the show, judges were not really impressed, especially Ashneer who said he wishes God had taken away his life before he could see such a product. Ashneer also said, "Jo 10 glass daaru peeke dekhega, usko nahi lagne wala ye. Aap kya bahut zyada peete ho kya?" Warrier has now created another video, reacting to his remarks.
The video begins with Ashneer's comments, followed by Warrier who says that he is not mocking or roasting anybody and sarcastically says, he doesn't even know the 'spelling of roasting and mocking'. Adding that he is just trying to get his message out by making some noise, he asks in Hindi, "When you stay in a hotel, do you order a cup of coffee, tea or 'daaru'? When you are thirsty, do you ask for water or daaru?" He adds, "Sippline is meant for any drink, not just for daaru, be it hot or cold." He issues a statutory warning at the end of the video, saying, alcohol consumption is injurious to health. "So drink wisely because we always blame the whisky, not the quantity," he says before signing off.
The entrepreneur shared the video on social media and wrote in the long caption, "Talking about Daaru, We may not be in our senses after 10 drinks, but definitely before the first drink. Let the repeats come filled in the same glass with your #sippline on." Calling it an 'additional layer of safety', the caption further reads, "It's use case is not restricted to only DAARU a.k.a. alcoholic drinks, but any drink which you sip from a glass or a cup. A very simple to understand purpose made complicated!"
