The business reality show, Shark Tank India has been the talk of the town since it started airing in December 2021. The show, which is about budding entrepreneurs pitching their ideas to investors to seek funding, is nearing its finale. The sharks who judge and invest in these projects include Ashneer Grover, co-founder of BharatPe; Aman Gupta, co-founder and chief marketing officer of boAt; Anupam Mittal, founder of shaadi.com, Ghazal Alagh co-founder of Mamaearth; Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals; and Peyush Bansal, CEO and co-founder of Lenskart.
The sharks were on The Kapil Sharma show recently. They indulged in some fun conversations with the comedian while they also spilled some beans about the show and several topics. Ashneer Grover, who is known to give blunt responses to the entrepreneurs on the show, was also in a fun mood while speaking to Sharma on his show.
On the show, Kapil is seen asking Peyush Bansal, co-founder of Lenskart, why did he choose Katrina Kaif as his brand ambassador. He joked asking if the choice was based purely on business strategy or personal. Kapil asked, "Katrina Kaif hi kyun chuni aapne? Aapko Vicky ke baare mein knowledge nahi thi? Bansal responded saying glasses are a fashion accessory and since Katrina Kaif is known as the fashion icon, he wanted her on board as the brand ambassador. He further said that many people started wearing spectacles after seeing her wearing a pair.
But it was Ashneer who was at his best on the show and we could see a funny side to his other serious outlook on the Shark Tank show. The founder of BharatPe further added to Bansal's comments saying, "Inka chashma pehenke Katrina ko bhi clarity aa gayi ki Vicky hi chahiye." And, everyone on the set burst out laughing.
Shark Tank India, hosted by Rannvijay Singha is available to stream on the SonyLIV app. The show, which also airs on Sony Entertainment Television on weekdays at 9 pm, is coming to an end tomorrow, on February 4.
