Sharmaji Namkeen's latest song, Ye Luthrey, is a hilarious take on how the film's protagonist, BG Sharma, played by the iconic Rishi Kapoor and talent dynamo Paresh Rawal, comes to grips with the beast known as "retirement."
Perky Ye Luthrey takes spectators through BG Sharma's ups and downs as he discovers a new passion, fueled by a group of merry women.
Sharmaji Namkeen, an Amazon Original Movie, stars Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar, as well as the late Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. Sharmaji Namkeen is a Hindi film that stars two renowned actors, Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, who play the same character.
The trailer, which was filled with flavour and a whole lot of affection, told a touching and uplifting narrative about a retired widower who takes up the most unusual of activities to keep himself busy and away from loneliness. After attending a women's kitty group, he discovers a passion for cooking, which brings joy into his life after much trial and error.
In the film, BG Sharma, a 58-year-old widower, is one of the millions of nameless people that make up life's daily grind. His company, which he had been working for, laid him off one lovely day. Everything comes to a halt. Sharma is having a hard time dealing with the beast that is retirement. He continually comes up with new ways to stay relevant, but it only serves to annoy his sons. Until one day, he crosses paths with a group of joyful women. They revive in Sharma a passion for cooking and, more broadly, chutzpah, which aids him in discovering his actual calling in life.
Sharmaji Namkeen, directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in collaboration with Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey of MacGuffin Pictures, will debut on Prime Video on March 31 in 240 countries and territories around the world.
