Sharvari joins Imtiaz Ali’s next alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vedang Raina? Here's what we know so far

It was in 2023 when Amar Singh Chamkila marked the return of Imtiaz Ali to form, and the world rejoiced as he joined hands with Diljit Dosanjh to bring the singer alive again through his film. The movie, which was released on Netflix, was one of the most spoken-about films of the year, and fans were waiting to know what the filmmaker was making next. A Fahadh Faasil film was being discussed, called The Idiots Of Istanbul. There was also a Netflix show with Arjun Rampal and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead. But, it turns out that before those, the filmmaker is shaping a period love story with a stellar cast that includes Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vedang Raina. Turns out he has now even found his leading lady.

Sharvari In Imtiaz Ali’s Next?

For the past few days, we have heard about how Imtiaz Ali has been busy shaping multiple projects at the same time. The filmmaker has never done that before. But as he steps into this phase, he has decided to reunite with Diljit Dosanjh for one of those, and it is a period love story. There have been rumors about how Imtiaz has been trying to find a leading lady for the movie, and there were speculations that there would be three, just like the male leads. Now, as per the latest report, Ali has found one of his leading women in Munjya star Sharvari. Read on to know everything you should about the same.

As per Pinkvilla, Sharvari will be leading Imtiaz Ali’s next and will be paired with Vedang Raina. According to sources close to the development, “Imtiaz wanted to cast someone who is a talented actor and felt Sharvari is best for the part. The industry feels Sharvari has the potential to make it big from her generation, and she tick-marked the bucket list of Imtiaz Ali to be a part of his next directorial. The yet-to-be-titled period love story is set to go on floors in April.”

“The tale has multiple character arcs, and Sharvari will be seen sharing the screen space with Vedang in this soul-touching romantic film. It’s a different take on romance from everything done by Imtiaz to date, and the pre-production work has already begun,” the source shared.

Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ali will also be working on Idiots Of Istanbul, which brings Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil to Bollywood for the first time and will pair him with Triptii Dimri. As for the Netflix series, it stars Arjun Rampal and Aditi Rao Hydari and is a story about an extramarital affair. Imtiaz fans are in for a treat as the filmmaker, for the first time ever, has arranged a lineup of films.
