Sharwanand gets engaged to USA-based techie Rakshita; Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Ram Charan grace the event

Noted actor Sharwanand, popular for his Telugu and Tamil films, is on the cusp of marriage. The 38-year-old got engaged to Rakshita Reddy, a techie from USA, in a private gathering graced by select friends and family in Hyderabad. The news was confirmed by the actor himself, where he wrote, “Meet my special one, Rakshita. Taking the big step in life with this beautiful lady. Need all your blessings.”

For the uninitiated, Rakshita Reddy is the daughter of Madhusudhan Reddy, a lawyer in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and the granddaughter of popular politician Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy. Reports suggest that this is a love marriage approved by the parents of the couple. The actor recently made an appearance in Balakrishna’s chat show Unstoppable with NBK.

Sharwanand was dressed in an off-white kurta with Rakshita donning a pastel blue and pink sari, paired with a diamond choker around her neck. Several big names from the industry attended the engagement, including Ram Charan, Upasana, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Amala, SS Karthikeya, Akhil Akkineni, Swapna Dutt, Venky Atluri, Krish Jagarlamudi, Nithiin and Hanshitha Reddy.

On the work front, Sharwanand was last seen in the time travel comedy Oke Oka Jeevitham, directed by Shree Karthick and the family drama Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu in 2022. Both the films are streaming on SonyLIV. Sharwanand is also teaming up with director Krishna Chaitanya for another film alongside Raashi Khanna, to be produced by People Media Factory.

Sharwanand and Rakshita are expected to communicate their marriage date to the public shortly. The actor has always kept mum about his personal life throughout his career and is believed to be media-shy.
