Mithun Chakraborty was discharged from the hospital on Monday afternoon. His fans are relieved to hear this. Makers of the film Shastri are also happy. The National Award-winning actor suffered a cerebral stroke and was admitted to a private hospital on EM Bypass on Saturday. He fell ill while shooting the film Shastry. The film's producer and Mithun's co-actor Soham Chakraborty was present on the set. He promptly carried the superstar to the hospital by driving his car. The shooting stopped. Producer Soham and Director Pathikrit Basu went through lots of tribulations in the last few days.

Now, Mithun is discharged and Soham is elated. He told Anandabazar Online, “I knew him from my childhood. I felt awful that he got ill while shooting my film. Today I feel joyous.”

Soham thinks that everything went fine because the treatment started at the right time. He said, “Something critical could have happened. Thanks to the doctors.” Soham said that Mithun did not compromise with his professional self even after getting sick. “Mithunda said ‘sorry’ to me twice in the hospital bed. He said that he would shoot for two extra days to compensate for the days lost.”

However, Soham does not want to take any risks. The shooting is scheduled to start on February 22. But Soham said that Mithun wanted to start on the 20th. Another source says that Mithun might go to Mumbai for rest. Will he not stay in Kolkata, or will his Mumbai trip be just for a few days? Soham said, “The doctors advised Dada against flying at this moment. As far as I know, he will stay in Kolkata at his sister’s place.”

Pathikrit is also happy. He said, “I am not bothered about the shooting. It can stop due to rain also. But Mithunda’s illness worried me. By god’s grace and his fan's wishes, Dada is getting better and I am happy.” Pathikrit was not worried that Mithin's illness could stop the shooting. “'He said in the hospital that he wanted to come back to the floor as soon as possible. His spirit is different and inspiring.” He said that he already started working on the next schedule of the film. He will start shooting considering Mithun's health condition.
