Shastry Virudh Shastry: Shiboprosad praises Mimi’s performance and Hindi proficiency

Director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are now veterans in Tollywood. For a long while, they have been directing and producing films at the same time. The film Fatafati, produced by them, was released on May 12. Their first Hindi film poster came out. Their film Posto was released in 2017 and garnered huge acclaim. The audience will see that film in Hindi in a bit different style. The film's name is Shastry Virudh Shastry and it stars Mimi Chakraborty as the protagonist. Paresh Rawal and Nina Kulkarni will play other important roles. 

Shiboprosad is excited about the upcoming Hindi film. He told Anandabazar Online, “I learned a lot while doing this film. I worked with Paresh Rawal, Nina Kulkarni, and Manoj Joshi. That is a huge matter for me. I watched them working. Mimi is a discovery in this film. Her work is already being discussed in Mumbai. Nandita has previous experience working in Mumbai. But the entire thing was new to me. This film is, to me, like going to a foreign university.” 

In the film Posto, Mimi and Jissu Sengupta paired up for the first time. The audience saw Soumitra Chattopadhyay in a new avatar. The audience is eagerly waiting to watch the film's Hindi version. The film will be released sometime in 2023.
