On April 14, people woke up to the shocking news of gunshots fired outside Salman Khan's Mumbai residence in Bandra. Following this incident, an investigation was launched and the two culprits have now been nabbed by police personnel. However, this firing incident outside the superstar's house raised concerns over Salman's and his family's safety. Shatrughan Sinha, who is close to Salman's family, condemned this incident and called it a "cowardly" act.
In an interview with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha said that Salman Khan, his father Salim Khan and other family members are close to his heart.
Talking about the time he got to know about this incident, Sinha added, "When I heard of the incident on Sunday morning, my primary concern was the safety of the family. Salim saab and Salman are among the prides of our film industry. We, as one fraternity should come forward to condemn such a dastardly, cowardly act."
He further recalled the 2000 assassination attempt on filmmaker and producer Rakesh Roshan. Sinha added that everyone thought the days of "criminal elements trying to intimidate the film industry" were over.
Meanwhile, Salman's brother, Arbaaz Khan, issued an official statement on behalf of the Khan family about the incident. In his statement, it was mentioned that the entire family has been taken aback after gunshots were fired outside Salman's residence, Galaxy Apartments.
"The recent incident of firing by two unidentified persons on a motorcycle at Galaxy Apartment, the residence of the Salim Khan family, is very disturbing and unnerving," a part of the statement read.
As far as Salman Khan is concerned, he made his first public appearance on April 15, a day after the incident happened outside his Mumbai home. On the work front, his last theatrical release was Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif.
