Shazam! Fury of the Gods directed by David F Sandberg also stars Zachary Levi, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is a movie fans of the DCEU are eagerly waiting for, after the first instalment impressed fans. The sequel has finished filming and now the movie’s producer has said that it will be funnier and will have more action.
In an interview with Collider, producer Peter Safran said, “I feel like this second one has more emotion, more humor, but it also has bigger action, bigger set pieces, some great villains. I just feel like it's everything that we loved in the first movie but really turned up to 11.”
He also said that the addition of characters done by stars such as Rachel Zegler, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu are good editions and added that the kids from the first movie are now a bit older and are a bit more fun in kind of an edgier fashion.
The sequel is directed by David F Sandberg, the sequel is highly-anticipated by the fans, who were impressed by the first movie, with its added humor and light-hearted nature.
While not much is known about the storyline of the movie, it follows up on the first movie after Billy Batson played by Asher Angel and his family acquire superpowers and is asked to protect the world from evil forces.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will see many of the cast from the first film reprise their roles. Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Hounsou, Ian Chen, Faithe Herman, Jovan Armand will all return in the movie.The sequel will also feature Mirren as Hespera, Liu as Kalypso and Zegler in an undisclosed role.
The movie, which is the fourteenth movie in the DCEU, is slated to release on June 2, 2023.
