At the Comic-Con event in 2022, Zachary Levi debuted a brand-new trailer for his upcoming film Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The Warner Bros. return to San Diego Comic-Hall Con's H saw the debut of the David F. Sandberg-directed film. The actor said that the film is about Shazam integrating into his new family or "Shazam-ily," as he put it.
When asked by a fan if Shazam will face Superman in the forthcoming movie, Levi at first replied, "no," but later indicated that it might be conceivable with a glance. Another admirer questioned him about the confrontation between Shazam and Black Adam. The actor answered, "Next question...no idea, no idea."
According to Deadline, Levi added that they have this fascinating insight into kids obtaining abilities. The actor continued, saying that it's been a few years, and the kids are doing different missions, helping the city of Philadelphia.
Levi explained on his Instagram page that with small family tiffs and whatnot, they are figuring out their identity. He added, "It's the time the fans have all been waiting for; be excited."
The movie trailer opens with Shazam experiencing a moral issue and discussing his abilities. He declares that he doesn't deserve these abilities, "Like, what even am I doing?" The three Daughters of Atlas, who have arrived to claim their abilities, provide a new threat for him and his comrades to deal with. The character played by Helen Mirren says that this is extremely personal to her: children stole the powers of the gods. The daughters bring dragon-like supernatural perils and challenges to Shazam. Hespera's father, Levi's Shazam, hilariously quips to Mirren's Hespera that he has watched all the Fast and Furious movies, and it's all about family.
In the Sandberg-directed film, Lucy Liu as Kalypso, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, and Asher Angel as Billy Batson were all featured in the trailer in addition to Levi.
Mirren and Rachel Zegler, who portrays one of Atlas' kids, beam in for the panel. On December 21, Shazam: Fury of the Gods will debut on the big screen.
